As a QA Programmer at Improbable you understand the core concepts and challenges of automated testing & quality assurance in games, and use this knowledge to build a framework that provides thorough coverage of large-scale, complex games. You also help to drive validation best practices and education for the rest of the development team.
Competencies:Knowledge of game architectures and game development paradigms (e.g. entity component systems)Ability to translate elements of game design and technical documents into robust validation plansExperience breaking down game systems into discrete, measurable, test casesKnowledge and working experience of game engines (e.g. Unity, Unreal, Frostbite, or CryEngine)Excellent communication and team skillsAbility to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders (e.g. producers, artists, designers).
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:Previous experience with shipping 2+ titlesPrevious experience developing titles for desktop or consolePrevious experience with implementing features for multiplayer gamesA portfolio of projects/side projects.
